CFV: What album would you like to have with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

MF: Tough one.  Probably "Let it Be", but in this technological day and age, would I every really only be caught with one album??

CFV: Most embarrassing place you fell in front of a large crowd?

MF: On a construction site during a pre-remediation health and safety meeting.  Nothing quite says "I'm in charge here" like a flop into the mud.

CFV: What is your day job?

MF: My title is "Senior Scientist" (most awesome/lamest business card ever - depending on your point of view) for an environmental engineering firm.

CFV: If you're not at the box, where do you like to be?

MF: Relaxing at home with my main squeeze and pup, hanging out with my family, on the soccer field.

CFV: What's you favorite color?

MF: Blue!

CFV: Most awesome thing you've done in the past year?

MF: Got engaged? Finished my Master's Degree?  Climbed my first 14er? Got my first muscle-up?

CFV: What are you terrified of?

MF: Styrofoam. Not joking - the sound drives me crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrazy. Also - scary movies, escalators, and my own shadow.

10:54 AM Meghan: what am i supposed to re-answer?
where i am when i'm not at the box/
10:55 AM me: Where u would prefer to be if when ur not at the box
10:57 AM Meghan: you're making my life sound incredibly simple and boring
10:58 AM me: What question would u like me to ask to make ur life not sound incredibly simple and boring
10:59 AM Meghan: i don't think there is one
i like having a simple life
but it doesn't make for a good bio
11:00 AM me: Well this conversation would
11:05 AM Meghan: i love my fiance, family, friends, dog, playing soccer, crossfitting, traveling, eating good food, and drinking good liquor. i'm a simple person. AND NOW I'M DEVELOPING ANXIETY BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING COOL TO SAY IN A BIO.
aren't you glad i work for you?
11:06 AM me: Dont remind me..
 Meghan: oh!
  speaking of reminding!
  keys!
  and shirts!
11:09 AM me: Keys today- shirts are a longer issue altogether.
Ever score a roundhouse kick goal?
11:11 AM Meghan: you mean a side volley?
  i'm not sure
but i have scored (twice) straight from a corner kick
11:12 AM me: No i meant like a street fighter rainbow kick
11:13 AM Meghan: ...i'm back to thinking my life is lame....though at least i'm now watching youtube clips of beautiful goals

CFV: What album would you like to have with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

PN: There are several ways to answer this question...

(CFV: Oh boy..)

PN: If you have to listen to the entire album the whole way through every time, you can take two approaches in answering this question. The first being to choose a solid album that you can listen to over and over without ever wanting to skip a song. There are very few albums that meet this criteria, and in my opinion the album with the most consistent strength across each track is Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.

The second approach would be to choose an album that is technically complicated, something that you could listen to many times over and notice a detail in the music that you hadn't heard before. In that case, I'm going with The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails.

If we're going to allow live albums, I think that Skin and Bones by The Foo Fighters would be my choice. This album has it all - electric and acoustic, fast and slow, hard and soft, plus lots of detail. Plus the Foo Fighters kick ass in general.

CFV: Most embarrassing place you fell in front of a large crowd?

PN: My first day of High School I was walking down the hall with an armful of books and a friend of mine tripped me from behind by kicking out my back leg right before I took a step. Books flew everywhere and I hit the deck.

CFV: What is your day job?

PN: Fixed Equipment Maintenance Engineer

CFV: If you're not at the box, where do you like to be?

PN: At home relaxing with my family.

CFV: What's you favorite color?

PN: Admiral Blue (the color of the 96 Corvette Grand Sport)

CFV: Most awesome thing you've done in the past year?

PN: Got engaged, for sure.

CFV: What are you terrified of?

PN: My future kids becoming Boston sports fans.

11:26 AM me: Also what is ur favorite wod?
11:27 AM Pat: haha ok
  weird questions
did you make meghan answer all of these too?
11:28 AM me: Maybe...
Any other questions u think i should ask that would be interesting?
11:30 AM Pat: hmm, i'll think about it

Jared Einstein

Level 1 CrossFit Certified, ANSI Accredited
CrossFit Endurance Certified (by Brian Mackenzie)

Coach Jared in his own words can be found HERE

CFV: What album would you like to have with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

Anything by "Coheed and Cambria".  Favorite band.  I love all their albums and have seen them on every tour they have done.  March will be my 14th time seeing them I believe.  I have a problem.  But if I HAD to pick one, it would be "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3".

CFV: Most embarrassing place you fell in front of a large crowd?

Probably in high school during a wrestling match.  The mats are like velcro with those shoes sometimes.  I caught it the wrong way and down I went.  All eyes on me.  Nailed it.
CFV: What is your day job?

Computer Scientist (System Administrator)

CFV: If you're not at the box, where do you like to be?

At the beach, without a care in the world...usually skimboarding.  Realistically speaking though, at home hanging out and enjoying life.

CFV: What's you favorite color?

Blue.  Although 90% of things I buy are matte black.  I'd murder out my car if it was not a colossal waste of money.

CFV: Most awesome thing you've done in the past year?

Got married (well it was closer to a year and a half ago now).  A month before that, I also completed my first, and probably last, 50 mile endurance race.  And 10 months later squatted 495 lbs.  Excited to have done two extreme ends of the spectrum in less than a year.

CFV: What are you terrified of?

Life passing me by.  I want to do and see it all!!

1:42 PM me: Loved the bio and i loved the dated proof that you are an actual O.G!

25 minutes
2:07 PM Jared: haha thought youd like that. i didnt want to be too braggy (thats not word), but you know what i mean. hopefully it didnt come off as that. and just came off as my passion and experience will pour into my coaching.
2:09 PM me: I don't think any would ever call you braggy - but I think we have a duty to introduce braggy into the current vernacular
2:12 PM Jared: well i will being braggy, and you can nonchalantly call me braggy one day at the gym. if pat and meghan here it, they'll start using it too.
2:13 PM me: now thats a challenge - a nonchalant mention that a very humble guy is braggy. you may actually have to brag about something.
2:17 PM Jared: usually my actions speak louder than the words. i was demoing handstand stuff, and was walking on my hands. people were def calling me out on bragging on my mad skills
2:18 PM me: you spelled skills wrong. S-K-I-L-L-Z in that case you inverted walker you
2:20 PM Jared: true
2:21 PM me: cool - what about a picture?
2:22 PM Jared: ill try to find one for you. ill email it to you. i have an old one where im like 40 pounds lighter haha from the same FGB that you have on the coach's page
2:23 PM me: haha! That would work! I was also thinking that i remember seeing one of you in action (no, not like that) during your 50miler
2:24 PM Jared: haha. i think i have the 50miler online somewhere. ill see if i can pull it down
2:25 PM me: Thanks!
Jared: nope. dont have any pictures from 50 miler somehow haha
2:26 PM ill dig something up
2:27 PM me: I try to repress those memories too - seems like you took it a step further and destroyed all evidence
Jared: exactly. just a blank void.
i am actually having a hard time finding any pictures of me working out in action. haha
2:28 PM like a wild beast. rarely seen. never photographed. even when you do, they come out blurry like bigfoot
2:30 PM me: just take one from that shrine in your garage with the photo collage of you and the banner overhead that said "I'm awesome and everyone else sucks." and bigfoot is actually blurry - its not the cameras.
2:32 PM Jared: i could take it from the collage, but they all just have so much glitter on them from crafting the shrine.
2:35 PM me: ok - ill wait for a glitter free one
